DAVE & AMY, Together Again - January 2034
Saturday Feb 03, 2024
Saturday Feb 03, 2024
DAVE WILLIAMS and AMY CHODROFF were selected individually to co-host the KLIF Morning News in Dallas. Having never met they were thrown together in a small studio to sink or swim. In radio, as in life, forced partnerships don't always work. In this case, it worked wonderfully well for nearly 12 years. They started together and in 2023 retired together. But they're still friends. Here they are, together again. Sequels may follow.

KITTY O’NEAL, Radio Master
Saturday Dec 30, 2023
Saturday Dec 30, 2023
KITTY O'NEAL is a Sacramento icon, probably the best-known name, face, and voice among celebrities in the history of California's capital city. She is certainly the best-loved. Here, she tells her story, and talks about her former radio colleagues Morton Downey Jr. and Rush Limbaugh. And yes, me, too. It's a grand reunion for us. We also talk about Skyler's Pool, the rock band Kitty created with her husband, famed restaurateur Kurt Spataro. And when the talking is done, we give you a music video of Kitty fronting the band with their original music, her dynamic voice, and wonderful scenes of River City.
I'm Dave Williams.
After many years of doing news/talk radio I'm ready to stretch out to long-form conversation. You know, enjoyable and informative chats uninterrupted by traffic, weather, and 25 minutes of commercials and promotional announcements per hour.
Podcasting is still young and developing. Some of the experts say radio people are no good at it because we sound plastic, too slick. I take that to mean I should sound less professional. Heck, I can do that.
These same experts say a podcast has to be very narrowly focused on a particular subject to gain a following.
Tell that to Joe Rogan.
I'm interested in lots of things, in people and subjects beyond number and description. Aren't you? Sure you are. Hope you like what I offer and will tell your friends.
